Roadmap ABA was conceived and created by a dedicated parent with a child on the spectrum. Kathleen Esch, MA, BCBA spent 18 years navigating the world of “autism parenthood,” before redirecting her focus to studying ABA and attaining her board certification. During those confusing years, Kathy and her spouse would often express “Can someone, somewhere, just give us a roadmap of what we should do to help our child?” More than 15 years later, she has helped hundreds of families affected by autism and related disorders.
At Roadmap ABA, we celebrate neurodiversity while promoting independence using evidence-based, individualized services that improve socially meaningful development, such as communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors while reducing problematic ones.
We work by analyzing behaviors and applying principles of behaviorism, such as positive reinforcement, to teach new skills by breaking them into small steps. We incorporate play-based, child-led techniques to make learning engaging and effective, with programs tailored by trained professionals like Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
